Did not provide correct unpaid taxes information

1

I I purchased a house on May 2009. The seller (the bank) required me to use their title company -- First Class Title Inc. A title insurance is to protect the owner against all of the hidden risks including unpaid taxes. I received unpaid property tax of over $50, 000 for my property in September 2009. My property was classified as un-occupied with tax owed on the property for $37, 000 prior to my purchase. DCRA re-classified my property 2 months prior to when I purchased it. First Class Title Inc located in 6187 Executive Boulevard Rockville, Maryland 20852 completely mis-informed me of the status of unpaid taxes on the property. I only learned about the unpaid property tax prior to my purchase when I began receiving notices of for auctioning of my house to collect the unpaid property taxes. I contacted First Class Title Inc several times to be able to take their search and reporting to the DCRA and IRS office but no support was provided by them and they would rudely disconnect on me. I finally asked my real estate agent to contact them and ask for their search and documentation. To my disappointment and after several days of back and forth through my real estate agent, I only received a couple of pages with footnotes from IRS that “ the outstanding amounts displayed here may not include updated penalties and interests” and about a month prior to the purchase of the house.
