Detroit Axle Doesn’t Tell The Truth
I ordered an axle for my Volvo directly from Detroit Axle online (Order #58501 May 21, 2017. The part that arrived was not for my car. I contacted customer service who informed me that they do not carry the proper axle for my car. They agreed to a full refund upon return of the part. They provided a shipping label and I promptly returned the part. I contacted the company by phone to sort this out. At first, I was told that they had no record of receiving the part. I provided them evidence of delivery and they changed their story. They told me that the refund to my credit card had been processed. It was not. I have called and written many times and they continue to ignore me to this day. $68.50 down the drain. I find it hard in this day and age to believe that a company as large as Detroit Axle is willing to leave a relatively small problem like this out there, a situation leaves customers unwilling to do business with them again and that doesn't cost them any more than the refund their customer is due. As I see it, Detroit Axle stole my money.
