Denial of Covid vaccine

I originally made an appointment for the vaccine at store #1537. Then the store called to confirm and I told them I couldn't make the drive because my wife had been sick the night before therefore the appointment was cancelled. I made another appointment at the del Prado Crossings Publix Pharmacy in Cape coral. When I showed up I was told that I could not get the vaccine because the other pharmacy had already submitted the bill to MediCare for the shot they did not give me. I was told that it would take 8 weeks for the Pharmacy to reverse the billing so I cannot schedule another appointment until then. This seems like MediCare fraud to me; billing for a shot that wasn't given. I made three calls to Customer Services where I was supposed to be transferred to a supervisor. After waiting over 15 to 20 minutes on the first two calls before being dropped, on the third try I was transferred to a supervisor who said he would submit my concern to someone and I would receive a callback in 48 hours but that he could not do anything to help me. So, I don't even know if the charge is being reversed and whether I can try again in two months, during which I face further exposure to the virus because of their charge to MediCare for service not provided and there is no way to get the shot without Medicare.
