December 2020. Customer's warranty-covered vehicle needed repair of a Cooling System component. Nov. 30th, customer calls Car Shield for verification and approval that the Clutch Fan is a covered part. Car Shield representative said "YES", the Clutch Fan is a direct component of the vehicle's Cooling System, so it's a covered part. Next day, Dec.1st, customer brings vehicle in for A.S.E. repairs and customer's auto technician was told by Car Shield that Car Shield refuses to pay any money towards repair. Unbelievably, even though a vehicle would overheat without a properly working Clutch Fan, and Car Shield says that they do cover the Cooling System, Car Shield violated their written contract agreement by denying coverage. Customer has paid $300 total to Car Shield for protection, and got a verbal lie and then a denial of coverage. Car Shield has a very LONG list of consumer complaints. Customer is now attempting to cancel Car Shield. User's recommendation: STAY AWAY FROM CAR SHIELD.
