My son placed a Mothers Day order for me on 4/28/21. Meats were processed for shipping on 4/29/21. Fed-Ex p/u order (styrofoam cooler w/dry ice) on 4/30/21. I RECEIVED THIS ORDER THE MORNING OF 5/6/21. I opened the container - the dry ice had been put in an OPEN plastic bag and had sublimated due to late shipping. So, I got full blast of pure CO2! Caused immediate dry heaving, dizziness, heart racing, migraine headache, irritated throat. Opened all windows ASAP, was cold out had heat on. NO WARNING ON CONTAINER TO OPEN IT OUTSIDE or ventilated area. Called urgent care, sent on to poison control.Told Id be sick for 6 hrs. was terribly ill all day. Told to go to ER if dizziness returned. Had to throw out meat. Got refund but had to ask for it. No one cares enough w/this company to call me. Very poor QA/PR! Im 73 yrs old, CO2 can kill in minutes! BEWARE!! User's recommendation: Danger! Never open any dry ice shipment inside!
