Charging more for less

1

I went to the store to purchase instant oatmeal. Noticed they had a reduced sugar variety available and since I am diabetic that was a plus. When I was reading the package I noticed that 10 in a box for the regular one(12 gm sugar) and 8 in a box for the reduced sugar(6 gram) . When I called them and asked why the same price for less sugar got a that's the way it is type answer. I guess they don't care about people trying to reduce their sugar intake and are making them pay more. How can you charge more for something that has a lesser amount added to it then the product that has more added to it.No more Quaker Oats for me.
