For me, it was a lot of money to purchase Quicken for money management. I used it for several years. Then my computer had a meltdown after a Windows upgrade and I had to go back to an earlier build. This is not unheard of. When Quicken wouldn't work anymore. I wanted to re-install Quicken using the version I had been using. The customer service rep said that I HAD to purchase a new version, at considerable more money, in order to re-install Quicken and "rescue" all the information in my accounts. This is at tax time. I can't access my accounts which Quicken is holding hostage for even more money. When I purchased it there was nothing said that this is a one shot and if you have a corrupt file, you can't re-install Quicken unless you pay us even more money. Warning to folks - you can't re-install it if there is corruption or in my case if you have to go back to different Windows build. You loose EVERYTHING unless you pay them a lot of money. User's recommendation: DO NOT PURCHASE unless you have a lot of money.
