I recently replaced the backup bulbs with LED, the filament bulbs were about as bright as a candle, they are now functional. Naturally it's alright with VW to use LED lights for the headlights but not allowed for backup, so I now have a nice orange idiot light on the dash on all of the time as the car believes that the backup lights are out, a piece of black tape fixed that problem but, it now will not allow me to set the clock to DLS time. Not sure what back up lights have to do with setting the clock? User's recommendation: do not buy VW.
