Update by user Jun 07, 2019 Yellow Canary was a $150 bird. Lived for only 5 months. Started breathing very heavily then was found dead on bottom of cage tonight. Yellow Canary was also the Guaranteed Male Singing Canary that turned out to be a female that lay eggs. Store refused to honor that Guarantee. Store refuses to do anything about any of these birds that have died. Update by user Jun 07, 2019 06-07-19 Had another bird die today. Our favorite Yellow Canary. Just purchased in January of 2019. Found dead on the bottom of the cage at 7:55 pm. This makes 4 birds now that all have died in a short time. Update by user May 28, 2019 Dead bird shown in photo was purchased in January of this year for around $100 and died last night. 05-27-19. So it lived for 4 months basically. Also had other birds die. Less than 3 months old. Store refuses to do anything about any dead birds, saying birds are only guaranteed for a week. The yellow canary she sold us was a Guaranteed Male Singing Bird that is a female laying eggs that never get fertilized after she sits on them for 3 or 4 weeks nothing happens because the other males she sold me are also females. This lady has no clue what she is doing. She inbreeds birds in filthy cages with over crowding and birds fighting. She don't know what age, what sex or anything about anything. If you want to throw your money away shop here. Depressing enough when your favorite birds die then to have her act the way she does is just wrong. Original review posted by user May 28, 2019 First bird my mother purchased from here for about $200 had deformed toe nails & store told her that is how birds come or nails would correct themselves. Nails never did. Bird was supposed to be a male. Bird was a female that lays eggs. I didn't realize this was the store she got birds at & went on xmas eve to get her 2 more birds, both were supposed to be males & turned out to be females, one of those has something wrong with his beak & beak has to be sanded down. I bought a yellow guaranteed male singing canary right after xmas, which is now sitting on eggs & not a male bird. Poor thing sat on her eggs for 2 weeks & for no babies. Now yellow bird has beak rot or something wrong with her beak. I bought a red finch at near $100 that is turning brown. Then 2 other finches she put in a pop tart box & they got our while putting them in cage, we had to search for 8 hours for these birds. My mom complained to store about her first bird & store demands you bring bird back, after you have become attached to bird & given bird a place in your home. I know she would say the same thing to me about the rest of these birds. We spent around $1,000 on these birds that aren't the sex store claims or are defective. Yet over priced. Then store can't even give you so much as a penny back afterwards. I also saw several puppies in store in small cages who were sitting in dog *** but she wanted $700 each for them. If your going to sell defective birds those should be less money and if you don't know the sex, don't tell someone that bird is one sex or the other. Then let the person get attached and expect them to be able to return the bird when they find out it is defective or wrong sex. I feel store knows most people wouldn't return pet after becoming attached and feeds on this to get away with what they are doing. Just shameful. ****** HAD 2 BIRDS DIE THAT WERE ONLY PURCHASED A COUPLE MONTHS AGO.****** Spent around $200 on them. Store refuses to do anything about it. I don't know where she gets her birds but they are diseased and will die. Do not purchase any of this stores pets.
