Bill Pay is a Scam

I used Bill Pay for about a year at US Bank with no problems. I started using it with Credit Union 1 and after a few months I had an overdraft, which turned into a nightmare! Bill Pay told me they paid two utility companies on my behalf even though the funds were not in my account without notifying me that I even had an overdraft. I thought, wow that is awesome, almost like overdraft protection for free, these guys a Bill Pay are great. Then I checked my account and I had two $ 29 overdraft fees both for the overdrafting of only one of the two utility payments. Yes, Bill Pay made my payment which they were not authorized to do but then, as the new party due the funds, hit my credit union account twice in 2 days (before they called me) while the Utility company would have only hit my account once. This is a scam that benefits the Credit Union. Bill Pay sent me a collection letter the next day and called and asked me if they could charge my account XXXX-0001 for the other utility bill they had paid and I said yes, funds were deposited. Turns out that the account that Bill Pay gave me was my original US Bank account, not my Credit Union 1 account. Bill Pay had switched banks in an attempt to collect on the second "paid" utility bill and overdrafted my dormant US Bank account and US Bank charged me $ 35. Then I got a third Bill Pay Utility bill overdraft because of the money taken out of my account to pay the previous overdraft fees caused by Bill Pay. I rushed down to the Utility company and paid them in cash. Guess what, the next day Bill Pay said they presented the check for payment (a check made useless since the bill was paid) to the Credit Union and they again charged me $ 29 for an overdraft fee. Again this is even though the Utility company had been paid! Bill Pay is out of control. I never authorized them to make payments on my behalf when my account is overdrawn, they are only supposed to issue a check not become my banker. I never authorized Bill Pay to play a third-party game with my funds and then send me collection notices. I never authorized Bill Pay to switch from bank to bank to collect funds that should have never been paid to begin with. IT'S INSANE, I'm trying to control my bank account and Bill Pay is, in my opinion, working with the Credit Union to keep charging me overdraft fees. Letters are going out to the State and Feds, but I wanted to put this on a few websites so people know whats going on.
