Be aware out there. Do not be a fool like me.

Okay here is the deal. I happened to notice my Ex had a few pairs of Silkies brand hose in her drawer when I put away the laundry. Later I came across an online ad that claimed "Buy 1 pair Silkies hosiery get 1 free pair." It cost $8.99 for the first pair. $1.99 for shipping. That should have been it. Aside from maybe a thank you kiss from my lady at my sweet attentiveness. I recieved the two pair and got an invoice which I saved, I don't know why. I never do that. It simply states what I was charged but there was something else at the lower portion of the document that would come back, not to haunt me but ravage my DEBIT account for $33.84. Right from the get, go something stunk about this deal. I knew it but was too caught up in how well things would work out for me in the end. My lady must have liked them. She took them with her out the door sans the expected kiss upon leaving me. Early Saturday morning I checked my account and was shocked to find I had less than $2.00 to my name. I had everything accounted for and after buying presents for everyone naughty and nice knew I had saved about $35.00 enough for milk and sundries till payday. You see, what isn't advertised is that you are enrolling in an "Easy pay" program. Charged about 34 bucks a month for pantyhose for a gal that won't be around to wear them. I took heart because the last line Reads "It's easy, risk free, and you're always in control!" Never trust any statement where they add an unnecessary comma. I figured I could just clear it up on Monday morning. No deal. Joanne the Creature I spoke with from Silkies hosiery "customer service" chastized me for not reading the add correctly and told me to take it up with "corporate." I was then given the phone number to HCI DIRECT. The phone number does not exist yet I did find it posted on yelp. The research I did on this seemingly innocent pantyhose concern got real scary I felt like a character in a Michael Crichton novel uncovering layer after corrupt layer and many shifty business practices. The company, aside from skirting bankruptcy laws early in this Century has also been convicted in at least one class action lawsuit totalling $9,000,000. All they did was change their name. Now known as Sculptz tights. Appel Associates is connected with this farce as well. I seemingly have reached a dead end as far as "Customer care" goes. I am a former Infantryman &;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; relentless. This may be a battle I might not win but battle is what I do & these guys act like they are too big to fail. I feel right now like I may be too small to succeed but this business practice is unAmerican. That's not cool with me. I am Michael Holmes.
