I have been shopping at my local petco and any petco (if I'm out of town) for years and I've been a fish keeper for 10 years and buy all of my fish and products there. However I will not ever be going back. Today I was denied purchasing fish by an employee because they had to Google if my tank was overstocked when I can Google and show many more that says it is not. You cannot base a tank just on inch per gallon there's a lot more that goes into than that including Suze of filter, other fish in the aquarium and how often you do water changes. I've never had any issues with fish or employees until now. I'm just annoyed that I'm being denied when petcos tanks are always overstocked, dirty and have fish together that should not be together (example glass cats with danios, platies and guppies).
