Retroactive recall for refrigerator fire hazard did not reach us through any channel or news media. This is a sneaky, bad fire. No one was injured except for smoke/fumes inhalation. But 5th wheel is totaled. The shop is damaged, but thanks to the heroics of one husband and owner and fire department, we live to clean up and repair the aftermath. I Would like all RV owners to know since the notification process seems to have failed. My research as to why we were not warned seems to indicate no entity (manufactures, dealer, or even the gov't) wanted the responsibility or cost. Tell everyone you know. Have your refrigerators checked or examined by a reputable dealer or authorized technician.
