AC Adaptor blew up, No replacement

I bought a Acer Chromebook for Christmas of 2017 at the Overland Park, KS store. Earlier today the adaptor litteraly blew up in the wall socket so all I had left is the power cord the rest of the adaptor was scattered to various parts of the living room. Wife freaked as baby was crawling on the floor and we have 2 small pets. Picked up all the parts and threw them away. Went to Micro Center was told without the adapter they would not honor the warranty.
