Unfortunately being new residents in the Bradenton, Florida area I saw a lovely ad for SCC - Supreme Carpet & Tile Care in a locaL magazine and scheduled my service with them. While the owner Richard Riccobono was present for the start of the cleaning he approached me with an offer to seal all of my tile and regroup the areas where grout was missing. He also guaranteed reserve for cleaning for the next five years and showed me a certificate which he said would be mailed to me from the office. I paid Richard a total of $599.00 for the work, $400.00 additional for the additional services. I should have become suspicious when I found that Richard went to my bank and cashed the check while he left his helper here cleaning my floors. Unfortunately nothing Richard promised was completed. The grout did not come clean in all areas, I suspect the grout was not sealed as promised and re-grouting has not been done. I never received my certificate for future services. Richard has scheduled to come and check my floors and has not shown up. After scheduling for 2/13/18 and for 2/15/19 and his no show on either of those days he is no longer answering the phone. His "office" has a recording for Beverly for accepting messages however no one from the office ever returns a call either. I am very disappointed in myself for not looking into this company's reputation prior to hiring them. If only I had read the comments listed on yelp I would not have engaged in business with such a company. I can only agree with every negative comment listed on yelp. This is a fraudulent company and Richard is a dishonest man, literally stealing for services not completed. I have reported him to the magazine where I saw his ad and will also report to the Better Business Bureau. This is a grand scheme to defraud people. Submitted by Joanne Heedles
