04-08-2021 The 98 Octane petrol pump at the Caltex Service Station in Murray Street Wonthaggi Victoria 3995 has had a faulty numeric keypad for several years. Meaning that I am unable to key in the correct $ amount of petrol required. I have to rely on the "hair trigger" pump handle to fill my car with fuel. Because the pump handle is so sensitive, it is almost impossible to dispense the exact $ amount I require. The pump is usuallu either 2 cents under or 2 cents over when I finish fueling the car. It is too hard to shut the pump handle off at the exact $ amount required (for example $50 becomes either $49.98 or $50.02). When I pointed this discrepancy out to the particular cashier on duty, he informs me that Caltex will never fix the numeric keypad on the petrol pump and I will just have to accept it! Is this true? I have been refueling my 2 cars at the Caltex for over 26 years and believe I wouldn't be the only person to have experienced this inconvenience. Please Caltex fix the keypad on this 98 Octane Bowser so I can key in the correct $ amount of fuel I require without the frustration of trying to stop the hair trigger on the pump handle at the exact amount required.
