Purchased a John Deere tractor S120 from Home Depot in 2019. Has 37 hours on it. Tractor is great, but 42" mower deck has a major problem. The deck is bent where the left blade shaft passes through the deck. John Deere local distributer (not the one I purchased from, they are out of business) tells me that I obviously hit something with it. Well, yes I did. I clipped a stump enough to chip it and take a small chunk out of the blade. I would expect to pay for new blades or to have broken the shaft. But the mower deck itself has bent and cannot be bent back into shape. The cost for a new mower deck, bare, is well over $700 and labor to R and R the deck is over $250. I am looking at about $1000 cost to me because the mower deck bent. Why did the mower deck bend so easily? How many others have this same problem? How do I get John Deere to look into this matter and stand behind what they sold me? Disgruntled, ex-JD fan in Ohio.
