We recently purchased a litre container of 35% whipping cream at our local Sobey's store. The carton was dated MR 31 2021. When we used it in a recipe for pumpkin pie and the topping, the filling stayed runny and the cream would not whip properly. We compared the consistency with a 10% cream and the whipping cream was weaker in flavour and watery in appearance. Very disappointed seeing that we had used other expensive ingredients, butter, almond and coconut flour, and pure pumpkin filling, in the pie. We will be returning this product to Sobey's. Quality control has failed in this case.
