I have a 2019 ford edge that has the same problem with random monitor screen lock up as outlined above. mine recovers too but I have to turn off the car and let it recover on its own. Very annoying indeed. Having worked in the computer industry for many years (now retired) this is a known problem with Computers. The cause as I understand is the computer processor at times will loose it tag point and lock up as it lost the next step in the software. To recover from this problem however all you have to do is reload the software in operation by turning off and back on so it will reboot and recover. This method however has not worked with my Edge. Ford software guys need to implement a method to recover from a car computer lockup.
