Beyond disgusted with my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was great for 3 1/2 years. Then in August 2018, the troubles started. The first episode involved windshield wipers going on by themselves, with no way of turning them off. As that was happening numerous warnings were flashing, including: “service Shifter” “no bus” “service Electronic Throttle Control” “press clutch and push button to start” (this vehicle has no clutch), “service transmission continue in D do not shift or turn engine off. No bus” “service airbag system” service antilock brake system”. Also have had transmission flip out on us. It revs really high but hardly moves. I have videos of all of this. The new thing it’s doing is that the brake cannot be depressed. It’s so tight you cannot press it at all. So weird. It’s been at the dealer August 2018-April 2019. We had to stop driving long distances. We just drive it locally. Have zero trust in it. It’s basically a glorified golf cart that cost $37,000, which was paid in full. We regret buying this vehicle. It fooled us, it was behaving, not going nuts like is usually does so we let the kids (19 and 16 yrs old) drive it to the mall 20 plus miles away. So of course it decides to flip out on them. Now I’m beyond angry. It endangered my kids now. If I get killed in it I hope my family sues. If it injures my kids, God help Tate Jeep and FCA. They got it safely to a parking lot. Before that it wouldn’t go over 9 mph. Ridiculous. This is garbage. We looked into trading it in at the same dealer where we bought it. I expressed the believe that it would be wrong to unload this junk on someone else. It obviously has major electronic issues. The dealer says, with a wink wink “we can’t find anything wrong with it”..... which is technically true. Because of course, the car doesn’t act up for the mechanics at the dealership.
