Charging for “unreturned” equipment
1
I should have known to save copies of everything with this company in triplicate. Trying to discontinue my service was dreadful - the customer service rep kept trying to get me to keep it. I had already MOVED AWAY. He suggested I get this (terrible) service in my new home. When I told him I had cable internet in my new apartment, and no satellites would be allowed here anyway, he suggested that I get Viasat in addition to my new service! Absurd. I had to declare that I would not answer any more questions, the answer was no, and that I would need him to proceed with discontinuing. Now, 3 months later, they charge my credit card for not returning the equipment! Of course, I will have to search for the tracking number, which they now demand (but didn't mention in my first call). They drag this out as long as possible and don't offer to call you with the outcome. No, you have to call them in a certain number of days. I know that many people must give up at that point and lose their $318. User's recommendation: Avoid if at all possible.
