Be careful where you go to check a car . I am only used to see and but cars from big dealership . I went to that place as o wanted to check on a 2012 BMWx5 . When I came there , they said it was sold . My 13 yo son likes old cars and saw this 1987 Chevy corvette RWD - overpriced and the interior is subpar and dilapidated . Do I figured I’d go for the corvette and restore it the best I can . Sales rep would tell you anything to sell you this junk . The transaction went spur . I made a die payment of $500.00 . They fixed the windshield as per my request and reps said it would done on a Monday . They were stalling up to Wednesday - they said pick up the car - it was no wear in sight . I was told just drive by Newark and I would see the car on the street . I refused and said I want to cancel the loan and I don’t want the car anymore . We went Wednesday and when the car was not on the lot - my husband and wanted the refund . An agent said come back tomorrow as the MGR was the only one who has the access to the finances . We went back Thursday , the Mgr gave us a nasty attitude and was very condescending . They refused to give back the $500.00 and kicked out from the place . Lien holder called me up and stated that the car is registered in my name . I went to the police station in my town and an officer verified that the car is under my name . The car was registered without my knowledge and yet the dealership was reselling is on there lot . I told the lei holder and the police that this is fraudulent and that ‘s the only time that they took this car off from car gurus . I went to the Irvington police station and as per advise - I must go to the DMV and request that the car registration be remove under my name . DMV did and on the paperwork it said that the car was registered in Pennsylvania . I’m not a Pennsylvania resident at all . I leave in another state . These dealership violated the FTC rules . No price sticker on the car shown. I signed an electronic document and was rushed into signing , the place was overcrowded like a flea market and I was denied copy of the loan , I never took possession of the car at all and they never gave me a key .i found another car 5,500 less in a better condition in a small dealership but not in the ghetto .
