I hired Coy Construction in Walled Lake, MI to build our high-end $18,000 deck 4 years ago. Several of the wooden joists have badly warped and we called Mike McCoy, Coy's owner, to advise us on how to repair. He showed up in a huge hurry, no greeting, took a quick look at the deck and denied that it was warped and very uneven. Finally he said that decks are never even, and rushed off, never to be heard from again. Very poor business practice - no follow-up (by the way, we were willing to pay for the repair). Poor quality materials - find another deck builder. I will never recommend him for anything.
