Incorrect Invoice

8 years ago, we had a family debt to AuMobile. Around 100 lats. When we received the Creditreform call, we paid the full amount. Since then, there have been several transactions with banks, including a home loan. We are correct customers, no payment is ever delayed. Always taking a new loan, but check whether your name is on the so-called "black list". Ours was not. Until we accidentally received a letter from AuMobile - we have to pay off a debt that arose 8 years ago, otherwise we would transfer us to Creditreform. Absurd. Of course, we keep payment checks for 3-3 years, but not for that long. Bank archive - 5 years. Where to turn in such a situation? In addition, it is only a coincidence that we received this invoice, because we have not lived at this address for a long time. What to do? Pay the bill again? Where did the problem occur and how to prove the error? The question is - if there really is such a debt, then where was AuMobile all these 8 years? Or could it be that if the payment was made through Creditreform, then maybe Creditreform did not pass the data on to AuMobile?
