Penalty
This situation happened to a close person. 2 years ago Liva connected to the Internet at a speed of about 20 mbps (?). Less than 2 years had passed when I called in January and asked (offered) whether I did not want faster (which also means more expensive) Internet. The man agreed. The master came and put a new box, gave the contract to sign, who, like both, negotiated will be concluded indefinitely. The man did not look where something was ticked (yes, his own fault) and then there was the following situation. At the end of January, it was also decided to give up LIVAS Internet altogether and hand over the box, and signed for it. Well, now, upon receiving an invoice for 130 dollars, it turns out that the time has been marked for 24 months (how long the connection will be) and this time counts as the minimum connection time, before which the contract may not be terminated in his own way. Elected was for 24 months, reading the paragraph comes out so - the minimum time is also the maximum (if not then extended). That the contract may be terminated only after that period has elapsed. But as it is not yet January 2017, you have to pay the Monthly Fee for Unused Time X 23 months, (less than 2 years). There is no Internet, but the Penalty must be paid by the end of March, if not, it will be settled through the courts. It would also be Liva's internet now, but I had to go and do not provide Liva's services outside Brisbane. The Internet is no more, but you have to pay for what will not be for 2 years. The whole mistake is that the signatory did not look at the point in question. When there was a "slow" internet, it was stable that once in 2 months for a few days it was not at all (they see something corrected, but you can't warn about it). For all,who will be associated with this company, which does not provide long-term quality services, I recommend devoting 20 minutes. to read the contract - what fee, how long, how to properly cancel the service so that there is no contractual penalty.
