I am in the 30th week of pregnancy, the doctor wrote a confirmation "fit to fly" letter with a guarantee that he will be allowed on the plane and everything will be fine, but at Melbourne Airport I was joined by an employee, that this letter is not valid and that I cannot fly, waving a freshly printed page on my face that requires the same information as my doctor's note, with the remark that I need to get the stamp of ANY DOCTOR and I can fly at least tomorrow. I told that my family doctor is in Ireland, I came to Australia to visit, what a difference when I fly - today with a doctor's mark or tomorrow with NE with my doctor's mark... I was told that such rules and everything. I have to buy a new ticket, which costs 500 dollars again, because I was with a man who did not fly without me.
