In general, Optus 200Mbit / s internet as such is a big fraud (explain below). So we have a 200 Mbit / s line that comes from the optical modem they install in your home. The offer includes a wireless router (TP Link TL-WR740N), the technical specification of which shows the following parameters: 4 10 / 100Mbps LAN Port 1 10 / 100Mbps WAN Port This means that even if you plug the cable from the modem straight into the router and then from the router to the computer, you get a maximum of 100 Mbit / s, where you also pay for 200 Mbit / s. Next - wireless internet (technical specification) : IEEE 802. 11n *, IEEE 802. 11g, IEEE 802. 11b According to Wikipedia article, judging by the router transmitting on the N frequency (which is the fastest), can MAXIMUM develop ONLY 150 Mbit / s high speed: http: / /goo. gl/1H5Ct So you will NEVER be able to develop a speed of 200 Mbit / s for your computer, neither wirelessly nor even wired. This is the purest user fraud, simply because they do not specialize in IT-related matters and never pay attention to technical parameters. I warmly recommend connecting the same 100 Mbit / s and using the Internet without overpaying for 100 extra megabits, which you also would not see. If, however, you want to use the full Internet speed offered by Optus, then you sell the router obtained during the campaign and buy a router for which both WAN and LAN ports support 1000 Mbps. Those who have already purchased this campaign package and have connected the 200 Mbps speed and are using the campaign router, I recommend that you immediately switch the agreement with Optus and switch to the 100 Mbps speed.
