The compression relief part on the valve cam shaft broke. I took the motor apart and examined the parts. THIS IS THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN A MOTOR. THIS IS ENGINEERED TO FAIL, NOT WORK. BAD BAD MOTOR User’s recommendation: DONT BUY A BRIGGS AND STRATTON PRODUCT OF ANY KIND!!!!!
I bought a Toro mower for around $450 in 2018. A cheap nylon retainer/starter clutch part in the spring starter assembly breaks repeatedly. However, Briggs and Stratton or any of their parts supply partners makes this $2 sub-assembly part available. I’m expected to shell our $60 for the whole starter assembly every time this stupid things breaks...

Update by user Jun 07, 2021 Briggs and Stratton has done nothing, no attempt to contact me and no attempt to fix the problem. My advice to others is to never buy briggs and stratton unless you really dont care about their non existant customer service! Original review posted by user May 05, 2021 Lawn mower bags...
