Doctor negligence

Our first daughter was born at the Melbourne Maternity Hospital. Unfortunately, we can't write a good review because there was too much bad. Then everything in a row. We went to the hospital in the morning, immediately put us in the maternity ward, waited for the birth to begin. It must be said that the midwife was not the friendliest. I understand that work is work, but now I think we deserved some kind of humanity. At At 12:00 pierced the amniotic fluid, strong contractions began. The birth was natural and at At 16:33 the girl was present and then it started. We did not have a contract with the midwife, and so it turned out that at that moment another mother also started giving birth and the midwife who accepted the birth left us alone. I lay in a supine position for two hours because the doctor who sewed the incision did not know how to lift the table. During all these two hours, no one washed the girl, no one put our sun on her breast. For two hours she just lay wrapped in a blanket. Of course, after these two hours, the little one was already choked, and when the midwife finally came to us, she was superficially wiped (everything remained bloody) and had to go to the postpartum ward. Also, no one showed how to put a small one to the breast. So until midnight, the little one chuckled, when he finally came to us and showed us how to feed the little one. It felt like a conveyor belt. Midwives came to measure the temperature, blood pressure, came to the doctor pressed her belly and everything was fine. We were discharged 3 days later. Only then did we see in the birth certificate that it was noted that the baby was placed on the breast within 2 hours after the birth, which was not the case. It turned out that the temperature is rising. I called the reception of the maternity hospital, where they explained that it could be because milk is being formed, but if I really want to, I can go check it out. It is good that we did so, because it turned out that the temperature had already risen to 38. 5. This is where all the problems started. At the reception you expected something like this - what did you come here for? You have already called. It wasn't until the midwife who was in the reception found out what my temperature was that that attitude changed. The midwife asked if a usg was made at check-out (which was not done), she wondered herself, as well as asked my weight at check-out, which I didn't know because no one weighed before check-out. He put us in the hospital again and started overthrowing antibiotics. So we lived on antibiotics for two days and only on the third day I was taken to usg. It turned out that the uterus was not thoroughly cleaned and blood clots and tissues remained. I asked what the next treatment would be, to which I did not receive a normal answer. Basically, all the time we spent in the hospital, we lived in ignorance because we received very general answers to specific questions. Later, it turned out that it would be necessary to clean the uterus, because antibiotics will not help. Then the next day I had to go for uterine cleansing under full anesthesia. I asked in advance if I would be able to feed the little one after what I received another vague answer - yes, after a while I will be able to. The catheter was not properly inserted, so it was pierced and anesthetized. When I woke up from anesthesia, I asked again about feeding - the answer was - after a while you can feed. But after how long? How do I know that!? Interestingly, the paper that I agreed to this procedure was given to sign after I woke up from anesthesia, not before the procedure. It at least said that it was a document that I was no longer sure about. We slept in Chapters 6 and 3, it must be said that time in both chapters there are problems with both thermometers and blood pressure monitors, because they show different readings each time. For the first time, a flurogram was made on Wednesday, which was not taken out of the hospital on Thursday because he was not ready. Promised to be ready the next day. But when the husband followed her the following Monday, it turned out that the midwives could not find it. So we ran through both floors where we slept and we weren't smart either. It was explained that there was only one specialist, that he was writing descriptions and that it was probably not ready yet. Then on Wednesday I followed again and this time successfully. So it had been a whole week before the description was finally ready. Is there really only one specialist in such a large institution who can write such descriptions!? It felt like everyone didn't care. If you have just attached the baby to your breast and started feeding, which is not easy at first, then no one is interested in it, because you have to run to the office, which will be busy afterwards. Can't you really be a little more humane then? At eleven o'clock in the evening on the loudspeaker suddenly start talking and call to the current system - yes, that's not a problem. As much as knocking before bringing lunch, or coming to clean the ward.. Or is it too much to ask for!? It may be that we are baking for nothing, but since it was our first child, we wanted it all to be more beautiful and not to experience such medical negligence. No one would say anything if I had been thoroughly tested for the first time and we would have to stay in the hospital for a few more days and go to clean them. The biggest pain is that you run home without checking thoroughly and get sick the same day. Had they done their job properly, we probably wouldn't have been in the hospital for another 5 days.
