Money paid but no check done
I was originally at the dermatologist Rakus to check birthmarks. It was discovered with a special device that there is a 'giant nevus' (pigmentation patch) on the back, and it was benign, but the doctor wanted me to perform another examination - write a referral to a specific doctor known at Melbourne 1st Hospital. I signed up for e. Princeva, through the website www. piearsta.org, received a confirmation and after a few days went for a test. A specific examination 'dermal siascopy' was planned, which is available directly at Melbourne 1st Hospital. I enter the reception, give a referral and also mention that I have an appointment for a dermal siascopy. The receptionist says that a referral is not necessary and requires 28 AU$ - without thinking much, I pay and go to the office. Entering the office - tell me the situation to which the doctor answers me: "you know, this special device is broken for us". At that moment I did not understand whether to laugh or cry - neither a message at the reception, nor an offer to return the money. It was like taking a picture of it and looking at it with a magnifying glass! Complete nonsense - at least some warning would have been posted that the device would not work, or an alternative had been offered. I would not have paid that money if I knew that the intended inspection was not possible. As a student, I don't have too much money to toss around in a circle.
