6. Department of Thoracic Surgery
Some time ago, while in this department, I needed to have a computed tomography (before the examination, I had to go to the department's nurse to put a catheter in my hand). When I put the catheter in my vein, one of the older nurses tried unsuccessfully three times to pierce the needle, showing it to the young worker next door and telling me that she could never hit the vein properly the first time. When I told her to stop hurting me, the nurse in a threatening tone refused, "Why do you need to worry about what? Look at that - something hurts her! Try to complain to someone else here!" This is how the patient is treated - as an experimental animal. Obviously, it really didn't make sense to complain,because at the time, wards did not care what such a "nurse" could do to patients.
