We made a down payment of 1300.00 plus 400.00 for insurance in case of cancellation, to TripMate for your with Mayflower Company. I was disagnosed with Tongue and breast cancer at the same time. I was unable to travel and had to cancel our trip. I filled out numerous forms as did my surgeon as to why I could not travel. After 7 months TripMate sent me a letter settling my cancellation claim. I received a check for 400.00 plus 1.71 for interest. My cancellation penalty was 900.00 because my cancer prohibited me from traveling. When one pays insurance in case of having to cancel a trip to to health shouldn’t one’s down payment be returned and not kept by the company because a person cancel due to health issues? My husband and are both elderly, 78 and 80 and worked hard for the 900.00. We both feel this company cheated us out of our refund ,
