On 23rd January, 2020, I purchased a Voucher, in the amount of $604.12, from Thrifty Car Rental, Lynden Pindling International Airport, Nassau, Bahamas, in payment of a rental vehicle from Thrifty Car Rental, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Airport, for the period 22nd-29th March, 2020. (Voucher Ref. No. 14517 Confirmation J2851733573). Unfortunately, COVID-19 pandemic came, and my trip had to be cancelled. I called Thrifty's Office, where I purchased the Voucher, a few days later, regarding the situation, and was told that no decision had been taken, at that time, regarding vouchers, and that I should call back at a later time. I called back some time later, and was given the same answer. I called back a few weeks ago, and was told that Thrifty was no longer honoring the voucher. I was most disappointed to here this, because I am cancer patient, retired, and need to travel to my appointment at The Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida, in July. $604.12 is a lot of mone for me to loose this way, and especially, at this time. I will require a vehicle for 2 weeks, while I attend the Cleveland Clinic, and request that consideration be given for a re-instatement of the voucher, or, credit be given for its value.
