One month old and they have a 2 inch tear in the crotch area, just next to the inseam and about 2 inches below the zipper. No object tore into this area - I know because it would have hurt me in a very sensitive place if it did. The fabric ripped because, maybe, the cotton is not as tough as it used to be. I remember how durable my old levi's were. You cannot wear these jeans for any type of work. Remember - jeans are to be tough enough to work in - gardening, shovelling, digging, farm work etc...
