I had a rental reservation and was turned away because my return flight was booked earlier that day. I drove in from Michigan to watch my grandchildren while my daughter celebrates her birthday in Mexico for a week. She's set to fly out at 6am. They said I have to come back at noon tomorrow and I can be allowed to continue with my reservation (even though the flight booking date still would not be 24 hours) I asked if I could speak to a manager because I felt like Rine (if that's even his last name) racially profiled me. He wasn't friendly with me as he was with the white customers. Then the black manager name Jasmine walked up. He briefed her on what the issue was. She then said it was a RED FLAG that the flight was booked same day when my assistance with my grandchildren were last minute. This inconvenienced my daughter with her trip out of the country tremendously. I feel like I am being treated like a criminal. I met the criteria requirements. I went to look up the "policy" to find I am within rental rights of the policy. I am extremely disappointed in the treatment I received tonight here. I never had these type of issues. I would like the employees involved to be reprimanded. I am calling an attorney tomorrow to discuss the discrimination I encountered as of I were a criminal or because my daughter wore her religious headdress!!
