Rogue grocery chain

I am 72 years old and have shopped Dillons all my life. I am about to abandon this company. Dillons is abandoning thriving neighborhood stores and building fringe superstores. These huge stores have much more space (too much in fact) but less choice in merchandise. Long established items and brands are disappearing while the shelves have huge sections of redundant items rather than choice. Clearly the corp. is contracting with a few chosen brands and excluding others (amazingly, they have even reduced the number of their own - Kroger - brands). Human checkers have been reduced in favor of automated machines. Long lines are the rule at almost any hour of the day and night. Any complaint to a "manager" is met with a shrug and an explanation that they can do nothing - decisions are made at central headquarters. What the hell do they manage? Dillons has managed to swallow or edge out competition so there are few alternatives and the company knows it and acts like it.
