So i have had an account with Bovada for approximately a month now. The first week was filled with issues which should have raised the red flags right there. I was directed to this sight from a good friend. I had $500 to deposit and tried to do so with my bank card. My neighbor stated he had no issues with his card so i figured it was good to go. I immediately had issues. My deposits kept failing. I then received a phone call from bovada in which the representative stated the NetSpend cards work and I should get one of those. So i go out and get a NetSpend card and load $500 (maximum) onto the card. I activate it and try to make a deposit. That card gets declined 3 times and I am locked out for 24hrs. I understand security and fraud prevention so i get it. The following day i contact NetSpend and they state the card might not have been fully activated yet. Ok so around the time i got locked out I try the card again. Well I guess I was 30 minutes early and it gave me the error about 24hrs again. Ok got it so I figure out the exact time i got locked out the day before and try again after that time. I get a declined message again. So i contact Bovada and ask them what is going on. They offer to try my card again from their side but warn me that I had already attempted it twice that day. (How was the card tried the 1st time if I was supposably locked out?) So after a bit of arguing about that situation i authorize them to try it on their end. I get declined again!! So 24 hours later I try again, guess what? Declined! So i call Bovada and ask them what is going on and they tell me the banks don't like to deposit money to off shore gambling sights. Ok i knew that but you told me NetSpend cards WORK! So here I am spent $3.?? for the NetSpend Card and I will never get the full $500 back off it. They transaction fees... So I call NetSpend and they tell me they only see one declined transaction from the first day I had the card. So I call Bovada back and they blame the bank... Its the blame game all the way around. Ok so i decided to cut my losses with NetSpend and get all the money I can off of the card. Next option is Bit Coin. So i do a bunch of research and find a BitCoin ATM near me. (Only way to purchase large amounts of BitCoin in the US) Well the exchange rate at the ATM was horrible I deposited $520 into this ATM, I was dead set on getting money on the account. So now I have about $490 in my BitCoin Wallet. Well Bovada has poor exchange rates as well! By the time everything was all said and done I deposited $481 into my bovada account. On August 18, 2016 at 8:30am Mountain Time I placed what was suppose to be a single game wager on the Detroit Tigers to win. I risked 102.77 to win 97.88. Later that Day I placed another wager on the Houston Astros to win. I then noticed that the Detroit Tigers was still an open wager after the Detroit Tigers had won 90 minutes prior. At that time I noticed that they were actually placed as a Series wager. Bovada is very confusing in this as they mix all the games and series wagers together. You really have to pay attention! I contacted customer service knowing that there was nothing that could be done about the Detroit Tigers Series but was hoping that I could at least have the Houston Astros changed before the game started in 45 minutes. Customer Service stated that is why they have a review screen prior to the confirmation. But even in the Review the "Series" is mostly cut off. So i requested to speak with a supervisor who could hopefully help me. I was placed on hold for approximately 10 minutes before the line got disconnected... I immediately called back and spoke to another Customer Service Rep who pulled up my account and put me back on hold. I sat on hold for over 35 minutes until the game started. At this point I hung up. I felt that it was intentionally done. But 2 minutes prior to the game starting I placed a counter bet to try to minimize my loses and considered it a lesson learned. So I hope for the best on the series, hoping Detroit Wins and the Astros lose. If Detroit wins I would be up $98 and if the Astros lose it will be a wash. I notice both of them are a 4 game series starting on 8/18/16 and going until 8/21/16. So on the morning of 8/20/16 both Series are tied with two games left so it could go either way. On the morning of 8/21/16 I'm placing additional wagers and notice that the series wagers had been settled. With Detroit losing and the Astros winning. Im baffled at this point as to why they have been settled with one more game left in the series. So I wait until today 8/22/16 to see what the results of the series are and the Astros won so no sense in arguing that wager but Detroit tied it up. So at this point the wager should be considered NO ACTION. I contact Bovada customer support on 8/22/16 at approximately 12:00 pm mountain time, having an idea of how it would play out but hoping for the best. Upon speaking with their customer service department i was given the answer i was expecting. They stated that the wager was settled properly and that I need to read the conditions of the wager. I had already done that. Paraphrasing the conditions, the first two games but be played on the scheduled date or it is considered no action. So I state this to the Rep and tell her it doesn't say anything in there about being settled after 3 games. She replied back that it also doesn't say anything about a 4th game. I couldn't help but laugh and told her that is my point exactly. It is public knowledge that this was a 4 game series and I bet on the "Series" At this point she just starts repeating herself like a broken record. So i ask to speak to supervisor. Upon speaking to the supervisor i got the same story about the conditions and how she is just following policy. I ask her to quit repeating herself and provide me with her supervisor. I get told there is no one else available at the moment. So i tell her ok have your supervisor give me a call. She then tells me she can have another supervisor call me but it will be the same answer. I tell her i didn't want to speak with "another supervisor" but rather her boss. She starts repeating herself again. I told her to stop and either provide me with her boss, fix the issue, or I would start legal procedures against them for fraud. Now I know there really isn't much I can do legally but trying to sway the decision. So at this point I sent an email to their customer service department hoping it will be escalated beyond the asian call center and i will get a different response and now I am beginning the cycle of posting negative reviews everywhere. If your going to use Bovada Sportsbooks i highly recommend you look else where. The juice they take out is pretty high compared to other sports books and they are out to try to cheat you out of your money. Since this issue started I have looked at other sports books and betting exchanges.
