On 7/31/17 I clicked on a popup for a new Nancy Drew game offered by Big Fish Games. After the click, the information said it would cost $2.99, so I clicked that I would purchase it for that price. I provided my payment information (Discovercard [protected]) and clicked to the next step. Now it said that the purchase price was $6.99. I didn't like that that wasn't stated as the price at the beginning, but I thought it was still a fair price, and I went ahead with it. Then I was informed that this wasn't the purchase price, but the cost of monthly membership in the Big Fish Club, so I immediately cancelled my order and said I didn't want anything with a monthly fee. I never do that, because it can bleed you dry. And since there was a free month's trial, I assumed that would be the end of it. But then I found that I was charged to me on my Discovercard. I consider that EXTREMELY unethical. Since they had my payment information anyway, that wasn't to protect them. If I elected to be a member of the club after the trial, they could have charged it at the end of a month. I've informed Discovercard to reject the charge, but they said they had to wait 15 days before they initiate that action. So I sit around for that period fearing that I've been taken by a very dishonest offer and don't know whether I'll ever get that money back. It's not the amount. It's the fact that I put myself in the hands of a company that has no regard for its customers. If I don't get this charge back, I'll contact Better Business and complain about the company on as many sites on the Internet as I can find. They're a big company and I'm an old retired person who just wanted to buy a game for my daughter. Thank you for your time. I wish they had as much regard for my time, in trying to rectify this matter.
