We live in the city of Brookfield, Wisconsin and Waste Management is the contracted waste pickup company for the city. On August 16, 2021, I contacted Waste Management for bulk pickup of an old couch. Waste Management allows one bulk item - free of charge - per week. This service is separate from the weekly garbage pickup which is reliable. Since August 16th, Waste Management has promised pickup dates 6 times and never showed up once. I was on the phone with them again this morning after the 6th failed deadline and they moved the date for a seventh time to Monday, September 13, 2021. I have been in contact with the alderman of our district and the manager of Public Works for the city of Brookfield. They both tried to escalate the urgency with the Waste Management area management team with no success.
