Calming heat heating pad

I just purchased my heating pad and I'm enjoying it, however it keeps turning on by itself and I have to keep turning it off, I even had it laying on top of my bed and I went back in and the light button was on again I had to turn it off an hour later it's on again I have to turn it off can you please give me advice? So I would appreciate any problem solving ideas you have
