I filed two claims with Select Home Warranty over the course of one year. In the first case, my furnace broke down. Select Home Warranty insisted on having several years of professional maintenance records before they would cover the cost of repair or replacement. In the second instance, I had a hair clog in the sink. The plumbing company that Select Home Warranty sent to me wanted to replace 10 feet of pipe in the crawl space for several thousands of dollars. The next day I called a different company to come and they removed a hair clog in the sink within minutes. Select Home Warranty also stated that they don't cover pipes under the house. Aren't all pipes under the house? Select Home Warranty does not cover basic issues, such as hair clogs. Also if you want to cancel with them, they charge you a $75 cancellation charge. They are completely useless. Save your money to pay for your own technicians.
