The convection element shorted out resulting in a sizable repair bill to replace the element / fan and cover. After these components were replaced I noticed that the oven was hot even though it was off. Turns out that the convection element is energized whenever the range has power to it, whether the stove is in use or not . Great now I have a fire hazard. I had to disconnect power to the range and disconnect the convection element wires so that we can still use the range, albeit without convection. Looks like the oven control MRC needs to be replaced . I am very upset. We purchased this range because it had a 10 year warranty only to find that none of these components are covered .
