Selling fake jewelry saying it’r real

1

The "Owner/Manager" Sean, sold my new husband matching "White Gold" wedding bands, with what he stated were "lab created diamonds", at what we thought was a great price, for the time being. I have done business with Sean on several occasions before this purchase so I thought he was a good guy. The wedding bands were purchased on May 2 and I kept noticing my husbands band fading. After cleaning the ring with a jewelry cloth, the shine of the ring faded more and more, until it eventually had a copper look to it. As of May 14, my husband and I decided to take the rings back, because there is no reason white gold should fade (I have silver pieces that I have had for 20 years that still look like new), and one of the other employees tried to say there was something in my husbands body chemical make-up that made the ring fade (BS). Sean was not available at this time so his "Assistant" advised us to leave the rings for 3 days and he we send them off to be cleaned. I felt myself becoming angry and decided to go and get mall security to call the Katy police, because the "Assist" was being an *sshole. Mall security along with the Katy police informed me that they have had to deal with the employees of the particular jewelry store on numerous occasions for the same issue. Trying to hold customers jewelry, and selling fake jewelry as if it were the real deal. I asked for a refund on 2 occasions, Once before the officer(s) arrived and was told "NO" and a second time, in front of one of the officers and was again told "NO" he would only clean it. I plan on going back tomorrow 5/15 when the "Owner/Manager Sean" is available hoping he will decide to make his customer happy and do the right thing by refunding my hard earned money, so that I can go and purchase a set of his and her wedding bands at a more reputable jewelry store. This is a very costly, emotional lesson for my new Hubby and myself. But, I plan to stay prayerful, and if need be, take this to small claims court.
