Requested credit for a flight that Frontier changed….disaster

My husband and I booked two flights to get to Cancun on 5/8. We were to fly Phx to Denver and then Denver to Cancun with a 1.5 hr layover in Denver. We were a little worried about making the second connection in case the flight left late, etc. but thought it would be alright. After getting an email from Frontier, I realized that they changed the departure time out of Phoenix by one hour only giving us 30 minutes in Denver to make sure that our bags got on the second flight and get ourselves on the flight. Without having any idea of what gate or concourse we would be landing in, we knew it was not feasible so I called Frontier and requested a refund for both flights. After a very long and frustrating conversation with a representative, I was told that only a credit for future travel would be allowed and not a credit back to our card. I told them that was extremely unfair as they made the change that was causing us to cancel and they said basically 'too bad, it's our policy not to give money back'. I received an email regarding the credit for future travel and found that we were only credited for the Phoenix to Denver flight and nothing for the Denver to Cancun flight. I'm beyond frustrated as this is so totally wrong on their part. Our confirmation # is PHBM8R We were issued a $249.74 credit for flights that cost us $678.
