I filed an initial claim on May 6th. I received my initial letter from EDD stating my benefit amount. Subsequently every two weeks receive a notice to re-certify. It's been nearly 8 weeks and everything still says pending and no payment has been received. Each time I call the number for customer service I am disconnected after hearing a message that they don't have enough people to take my call. This is absolutely unacceptable! People who have paid into these benefits for decades deserve better! Bills aren't going to pay themselves.
