DIAGNOSE NO FUEL PUMP- work not performed
1
On the 6th of April i sent my 2005 Durango to the Waynesbore CDJR in Waynesboro, Ga. Explained that it had an intermittent start no start. On the 7th i called and was told they left a message, when inquired they had called a wrong number, i corrected the number and was told they need 3 more hours of diagnosing time. I called on the 9th and was told the left message again to wrong number they stated it was a broken ground wire and it had been repaired and that the were loose connection to the fuel pump relay. I had my daughter go pay for the bill and pick up key. My daughter went to start the car, it was dead.. i returned on the 11th drove my car on the 12th, 13th and on the 14th only 2 and a half days of driving the no start condition was back, i called the service center, they stated to bring it in, in mean time i called to get it towed the person that came to help asked if heard fuel pump, he slid under car said he did not hear pump, as he slid out he asked if i had looked un my car he then proceeded to show me a wire coming from the top of my fuel tank that had been stripped and wrapped around a bolt on my frame without a terminal end.. i brought it to the dealer to which i was told that wasn't done by their tech, asked to speak to GM he stated he was.. below you will see the fuel tank wire wrapped on the bolt and the bottom of the relay wire, none of which were fixed. Very shoddy service. i work at a local shop we do a lot of custom work on jeeps, engine swaps, restorations, custom fab work, transmission rebuild, I will be posting my experience on our Facebook page and with all the jeep groups locally that i deal with so they can avoid this same situation...this is a shame as our jeep group was asked to attend the open house and the company im at built RTI ramp for the festivities that day/
