Achafalaya Homes is a mobile/ manufactured home dealer in Lafayette, LA. We bought a home from them because of the advertised bonuses and promises of free furniture from the manager and salesman. We were also promised, in contract, that repairs which occurred on delivery and during setup would be made to our home within 30 days of delivery. It has been almost 90 days and none of the promises, on contract or verbal, have been honored. The skirting that we paid thousands of dollars for was not put on properly and is already coming off. We still have a door missing and cracks in the sheet rock. The promises for free furniture and a five hundred dollar visa with purchase (which is still advertised on their website) was denied after final purchase papers were signed. When I filled a complaint with the BBB, the manager first lied and then refused to respond to the complaint. We have had to file complaints with the manufacturer and now we will probably have to hire an attorney. Pay the extra few bucks and go to one of their competitors; Achafalaya homes does not care about their customers, only the sale.
