Outdated batteries purchased today

1

Uncaring towards customer and will not give call to an American supervisor I purchased batteries for my smoke alarm. I cannot reach the alarm on a step ladder and am 77 years old. I had a grandson come to change the battery and had him buy a new batteries at Dollar General. After installing it the alarm kept sounding. After checking the 9volt the date on the bottom is 07/20. Your representative just said the product is out of warranty and to just return the item to the store. That means I have to get someone to come back to remove the battery. I am not pleased.
