I'm completely dissatisfied with Uniteds decision to switch up everything regarding flights out of Erie PA. I was initially happy to discover United was offering flights from ERI to SNA with 1 layover. I'll be traveling back and forth several times a year moving forward. Therefor I decided to book a United flight from ERI to SNA, sign up for the rewards program. Now I get an email stating my flight has been changed, and its now 2 layovers each direction instead of 1, Ill be arriving several hours later than original missing a meeting, and I must leave several hours earlier for the return flight. I have no incentive to fly United at all now, since I now must drive 2 hours to a nearby city to get a decent flight with only 1 layover, and my choice at those airports won't be United because once you drive 2 hours to an airport its all about the lowest price (which isn't United). I had everything picked out, upgraded seats, the flight schedules were perfect. I just don't understand. From Erie the common layover is in Chicago. How can you not have direct flights from Chicago to SNA? You might as well stop serving Erie completely, the available flights are completely worthless IMO and every person I know would rather just drive the 2 hours and choose cheaper flights, than screw around with TWO layovers each direction.
