Problems with booking system

I was booking 2 seats with EasyJet. My partner was out and so I had to pause the booking until she returned. My partner returned but the system behaved differently and I had to booking a single seat. I was informed by customer service that it would cost me more money to cancel and rebook. The result was that I made another single booking that cost me approx £50 more. User's recommendation: Do not make multiple bookings unless all parties are present.
